As addicting now as it was back then.

User Rating: 10 | Tetris NES
The classic Soviet mind game. "Tetris" is a game that basically everyone knows about. It's been about since 1984 and it caught the world by storm with its immensely addicting gameplay. For the three or four of you have apparently been living underground your whole life to not know what this game is, it is a 2-D puzzle game where your goal was to continuously stack different sized blocks until you create one or more complete rows to prevent your stack from going any higher. If the blocks reach the entire top of the screen it's game over.

It's very simple, but that simple, yet ingenious, gameplay is what draws people in. Over the years the game has been moved over to other consoles in different variations like 3-D Tetris or familiar franchises featuring similar-style puzzle gameplay like "Dr. Mario" or "Dr.Robotnik"s Mean Bean Machine". But nothing beats the classic title for the NES and Gameboy.

PROS:
-Not much to say in graphics, but ultimately they are good
-Functioning control
-Catchy music
-Did I mention how addicting this game is?

CONS:
-Some more music tracks would be nice

Bottom Line: It's great addicting puzzle game that can last for unprecedented hours. Whether it be the originals or re-imaginings, "Tetris" simply one of the best games you could play period.
