It's got Tetris. What else do you want?

User Rating: 8.6 | Tetris & Dr. Mario SNES
Tetris and Dr. Mario. it's not much of a suprise that the two of them have been released on a collection together considering their similarities. Both games involve falling pieces which can be used to clear something. It just seams logical that they go together. Dr. Mario is a direct rip-off of Tetris. What happens is, there are several different coloured viruses. The pieces that fall are pills with two colours on them. To clear anything (pill or virus) you need to get 3 things of the same colour in a row. If found it fun for a while, but it got boring fairly quickly. The best part of the game was the Tetris. We all know how to play Tetris. Different shaped pieces fall from the top, and you try to form a solid row. once you've done that, the row is cleared. This is where I found the main replay value. As for the graphics... What do you expect? No matter how hard you try, you will never make these games beautiful. Yes the blocks and pills are colourful, but what else is there? Not much. The sound isn't that great. When you plsy tetris, you have 3 repetitive songs to choose from. It can get quite annoying, so make sure you know how to mute the TV before you play. Other than that, there aren't really many sound effects. But then again, none are really needed. Dr. Mario and Tetris is a great collection. Had only Dr. Mario been on this collection, it wouldn't have gotten such a high score. It's fun for a while, but it's Tetris that will keep you coming back.
