Could have been great, just feels too much like Saga racing in the arcades.
The story's just old now and still too far over the top, it's not funny that way or entertaining. Every chapter video just goes on and on, while your sat there pressing furiously on your keyboard and controller until you find your efforts wasted and then having to whitness the drivel being brought upon you. Yes!
I think for a game of its stature, only really aiming for an easy to please look or graphics equal but no more than on PS3 or Xbox. It's still nice to play, the main bits like car details and shadows seem fairly okey. But nothing to write home about, again stunning but to an unfamiliar eye.
Handling is a big issue in this game, Saga racing pings to mind. If your going to make a game where driving is the key feature why is it this game you can drive like having the handling cheat on GTA. No challenge just makes the game, again dull!
So... Pros,
Graphics are ok, pleasing at least.
The menus and UI are smart and quick.
Car collection and variery are well chosen.
The game map size and design, feeling the distance 'thumbs up'.
And Cons,
Handling, plus the way cars have been set at stock.
Graphics for PC, could have made a few worthwhile additions.
Story and constant annoying videos. Just too much.
And the game, a chance to make something really good. And had a good shot but it just feels unfinished.
All in all...
I wouldn't have brought the game now, huge placebo effect and yeah games aren't cheap. But if and when they bring out the next TestDrive I will defo be looking into it.
