This looks very interesting but I do have my reservations. Will this be a overlooked gem or just a run of the mill racer? I hope there is a type of career mode instead of just straight racing.
1 Like I'm not sure about this game ! Test Drive Unlimited was pretty good , Test Drive Unlimited 2 wasn't that great, maybe i'll rent this first.
3 Like One of the best racing games ever for me was NFS: Porsche Unleashed... so obviously, I don't have a problem with single manufacturer. If they do it right (with believable, not necessarily realistic physics) to distinguish driving between likes of 250 GTO and Enzo, and make good brand-related modes (like Porsche Factory Driver), it could be great.
1 Like all this work put into authenticity and it will probably have the physics engine of a marshmallow. No one makes simulations anymore.
Who watches one-make racing (where every driver has a car of one manufacturer or the same model), honestly? Atari just continues to make foolish decisions. Why not just put in all their money into one basket and make a single extremely successful IP, like Activision did with COD, to improve and keep its business alive?
I love Ferrari's (who doesn't) but im not so sure about a single manufacturer in a game any more, i've grown accustom to tons of beasts from different companies. Just have to wait and see
