Test Drive Eve of Destruction is an instant classic!
Test Drive Eve of Destruction takes from where Flatout left off, in Flatout you had destruction and great damage modeling (which even this game can't compare to) but it was still a bit lacking in terms of the business aspect of demolition derbies. Eve of Destruction sets you in a career mode where you can buy, sell and trade vehicles and then drive them to events to compete for money and respect. Yes, it sounds like it's been done before but this is demolition derby, not tuners, motorcycles, drag racing or any other form of auto racing done over and over again.
Test Drive Eve of Destruction is in no way the Forza Motorsports of demo derby but it's the best simulation for it that has been out to date. You can choose from a good bit of cars, each car has 3 upgrades to help the overall performance or stamina of your car and you proceed to crash it up! You can own multiple cars which is very useful in events that can last up to 7 heats long. The graphics are smooth and the only problem I would say is the fact you need to constantly turn the music down or off each time you boot the game.
Again, it's not very expansive, yet it's more so than other demolition derby style games. Simply put, Test Drive Eve of Destruction is an instant classic!
