This is a 2D side scroller, but this is no standard platformer. This is an open world that you can shape however you like. Dig a mine shaft to the bowels of the underworld or jump across the land in search of new wonders; maybe you feel like building a castle to house the treasure you found tonight. Your imagination is the limit, and the game keeps it going with interesting things just around the corner. The first few hours you might think you have seen the entire game, but every hour and every day of exploration brings new things.
The progression is perfect and the balance of new items, crafting, fighting and discovery is impressive. Don't let the graphics turn you away. The visuals and sound fit perfect with the feel of the game, giving it a nostalgic feeling. After a few hours, you will wonder why no one came out with this game 10 years ago, but you will be very happy to play it now.
The devs are releasing free new content and updates regularly, which is impressive for a game that doesn't have a subscription. There are also multiplayer aspects. For a bargain price, you will find more to do in this game than the blockbuster $60 games, and you will have more fun doing it!
