I couldn't stop playing this game it's crazy addictive. I've managed to log over 30hrs on normal mode and built a town with almost every NPC. Found and smithed the highest level of items/armor/weapons avail on this difficulty.
So it's basically 2D minecraft. You start off with nothing and gather items to make a house for you and NPC's that arrive after doing certain things or finding them underground. One thing I enjoyed this over minecraft is there are a larger variety of enemies and different areas on the maps change from snow, forest, jungle, desert, corrupt, demon blood something and ocean with there own enemy types. World maps differ in depth as well. Dig far enough down and you hit Hell with lava and demon like enemies. Plus a dungeon which gets harder as u progress.
Also your character is saved and can transfer for world to world w/o starting over and what you carry in your inventory is also saved.
Graphics are 16-bit style but work so well for this type of game and its very colorful. Glad the dev added ZOOM feat cause it was straining my eyes but zooming in a little cured that problem on X1. 360 never had this issue.(higher resi)
I highly recommend picking this game up. It's really well made and for free on 360 with XBLGold you can't go wrong!
