The love child of Minecraft and Metroid.

Every now and then a game comes out of nowhere that completely surprises us, and Terraria is one of those games. I had never even heard of this game until the day it was released on Steam. I am a huge fan of 2D platforme... Read Full Review

What Gamespot Users have to say about Terraria

This is an innovative, engaging "sandbox" game that is one of the best value offerings out there.

Overview: For those looking to find out what the hype about "sandbox" games is all about, this is the best first stop. It is a fast-playing side-scroller along the lines of the platformers of old (Super Mario Brother... Read Full Review

Its a good game but lacks the substance to maintain one's interest and can lead to some very frustrating circumstances.

Terraria starts off great. You can chop wood, mine copper, kill blobs of goo and build yourself a house(s) etc. This is all well and good until these things have been accomplished...sure later on you can build more bui... Read Full Review

Great game, I love it. Keeps me entertained for hours on end.

An amazing game. When I first saw it, I thought it would be a game similar to Lemmings. It isn't at all. The game is built in a way that you can stay in your little world minding your own business and "not wake" any... Read Full Review

My basic overview of the game

As simple as the graphics are and with a file size of about 16 mb it doesn't seem a game like this would compare to any of the blockbuster games that have come out near the end of 2011 but it's still a game I love to pla... Read Full Review

This looks like a 2D minecraft but it is much more.

At first glance one might think this is a 2D minecraft since it has a crafting system similar to minecraft and it encorages you to build and mine. This may be the case but this is a good thing. The game is cheap and it wil... Read Full Review

    This game is deceptively complex!

At first glance, Terraria might just appear to be side-scrolling Minecraft. To some extent, it is, and that's a really cool thing, but there is an incredible amount of hidden depth to the game that is not immediately app... Read Full Review

You didn't like minecraft? You want to give this a try? Dont bother...

I was promised epic boss fights, building ur own castle etc. but all its left is a minecraft clone. Im not the mining guy, i spent 1 hour figuring out how to build a home (tutorials). Then i spent 2-3 Hours Mining. I Die... Read Full Review

So, this is one of those modern games.

I must admit I was deceived. You see, I'm a huge old-school style fan, platformers have that charm from former days where gaming had but one defining characteristic that could make them stand out, challenge. No overblown... Read Full Review
