If this came out before GoW Gamespot would give it 8 out of 10!!!

What do you expect from an FPS trailing a film? Come on, did you people really expect this to be a second Crysis or what? It's a linear shooter, the mechanics are just like Gears of War (with the whole cover system), and this really isn't much worse than GoW. Sure, the graphics are average, but that keeps the sys reqs down. There are quite a lot of open spaces which look nice, depth of field effects are well executed. The voice acting and cutscenes are fine, the pace keeps you pinned to the screen, finding ammo, cover and blasting enemies to bits. Oh, and the enemies have a good excuse for being stupid: THEY'RE ROBOTS, LOL! (-_-) The game actually captivates the Terminator atmosphere quite well - seeing a T-800 suddenly burst through a wall and having to run from it just because you don't have the firepower to take it down is scary. The cutscenes and dialogs explore the moral side of the war to a decent extent, so this is no heartless run-and-gun like Serious Sam. At the end of the day, Terminator Salvation is a corridor shooter-on-rails, but for a Terminator fan like me, it's fun fun fun (and that's all that matters).
