TERA Online User Review
Although not near brilliant and innovative like Guild Wars 2, But still beautiful if you don't want to pay 50 dolars.

- The Bottom Line:
- "Solid"
As I personal hater of WoW, I hated how to be good, you have to grind for countless hours just to get the same item but a blue one, Tera, with Guild Wars 2, comes to make MMO scene better. Oh, and score is according to if you are playing with a 5-6 man team. Other than that It deserves somewhere near 7.
Graphics: 9 out of 10.
Game's graphics are provided by Unreal Engine 3, so It's so surprise that it's graphics are ball-dropping. Only some clipping and muddy texture here and there.
Gameplay : 10 out of 10
Gameplay is quite similar to Monster Hunter's, With dodging and learning about the mob's movements. It's much better than Click&Wait system of general MMO's. You have to dodge, attack, then dodge again and use this opening to disable the monster. I remember once killing a mini-boss called Basilisk, which was a quest that required 2 people and 20 level character, with only memorising and carefully dodging. With that, game filled much more skill based rather then being someone which stays 20 hours in game a day grinding. Also, game has EXTREMELY epic boss fights which makes you sweet manliness for 20 minutes.
Questing 3 out of 10.
The Questing of the game is basically nothing more than a steaming pile of **** .You have the same, slaying, fetching, delivering and grinding etc. quest like all MMO's. That is one of the most greatest disadvantages game has.
Sound 9 out of 10. Soundtrack of the game is quite amazing, usually majestic and heroic. Unfortunately, voices and sound effects are quite generic. Story 7.5 out of 10.
Story is not something very epic, but still, It's intruiging in most parts, which is quite enough already
Overall : In the end, TERA online is a game which you can have fun and epic fights with your friends without having to kill random spawns every hour of your precious time. Although, I don't suggest the game if you are just going to play alone. Then It just becomes a grindfest.
