Until there is a quality arcade stick avalible, buying a fighting game on the wiiu would be a moot point.

There is a population who plays fighting games for the sake of playing fighting games. Using a gamepad does not do this game or most fighting games any justice.

You literally never have to touch the screen. All the buttons are there, and believe it or not, some people prefer or even play better with a controller. for instance*raises hand*

Yeah and deal with input delays from a wireless source and the all round unresponsiveness of a dpad/analog stick.

Hell maybe they can have touchscreen executions for high level inputs so they can noobify they game for you folks. Imagine 1 touch ewfgs! That is until you enter a respectable competitive enviroment n they disable those features.

But to each his own. Like i said, there is a community of players who play this game like its meant to be played. I guess your that other guy.

Get over yourself. There is no delay, and im personally more responsive with a D-pad than i am with a stick. And i don't use the touchpad controls and having another way to play(a controller) isn't a bad thing.

    This.

"He also stressed that the DLC content recently discovered on the Xbox 360 version's disc does not represent the game's entire DLC road map, and that "not all of the content that we've planned for the PS3 and 360 has been revealed yet, so there's still some stuff left.""

So really, Tekken Ball might come later.

Playing TTT2 with that big ass WiiU controller seems kind of... uncomfortable.
I'll stick with the better controller and infinitely more active online of the PS3 thank you very much.

Wii-U will have Arcade sticks, the superior way to play Tekken and most fighters in any form on any platform design wise. You just have to know how to use it correctly.

First off, ALL wireless controllers have input input lag. it's inherent with wireless technology and one of many reasons that even competitive control pad users stick with wired controls.

Second, the WiiU does NOT have a fighting stick at launch, and there does not appear to be one on the horizon. Buying the game on WiiU is pure fanservice, pretty much catering to the kiddies who value "bonus material" over quality gameplay.

The game is already out on 2 well established platforms with a decent community, and you choose to grab the "better fanservice edition?" ok.... like i said, your one of the OTHER guys

First of all, input lag has been eliminated with many high brand wireless controllers. It's the reason why many competitive players still use a wireless pad and why PS3 is STILL the console of choice for most sponsored fighting game tournaments....

Second of all, Wii-U fight sticks have ALREADY been announced (TTT2 is getting its own). In addition to that, you can mod sticks to work on multiple platforms anyway<_<

Third and last of all, people enjoy their games for multiple reasons and there's no wrong way as long as you're enjoying it. Especially if you're paying for it and want your money's worth. But of course, you're one of those OTHER people who are unable to grasp such simple concepts....

lol what tournament have you been that ANY high placing player has used a controller? The predominant competitive enviroment is stick, and nobody of noteworthy has used a pad since tekken 5 days of ps2 which was on a WIRED pad.

Hey, they can enjoy their fanservice tekken., i have no problem with that, world does need scrubs like Tj!

hmmm...a kind of funny side mode that may make me chuckle a lil bit and an online experience with a bunch of rookies 10 and under....or hardcore fighting action on PS3, where the real tekken fanbase is....the choice is easy for me. finding out some of you are trading in this version for the wii-u version is amusing. i say good riddance.
