All the Tekken you need

User Rating: 9.2 | Tekken: Dark Resurrection PSP
Anyone who's ever owned any incarnation of the Playstation (1, 2 or Portable) knows that playing Tekken is one of the reasons you get those consoles in the first place. It's one of the most fun multiplayer experiences available beating the s+++ out of your friends virtually and gloating while they're losing. But also in single player mode, the games have always provided hours of great entertainment.

Tekken Dark Resurrection is no exception and even the crown jewel in the series. It's basically the complete Tekken 5 ported 1:1 from the PS2 with not even a noticeable loss in graphics or sound quality. It's simply gorgeous to look at, and it plays just the same, no need for further explanation.

What makes Dark Resurrection even better than Tekken 5 is the expanded features: Two new characters plus two returning ones (Armor King and Eddy Gordo); a new Tekken Dojo Mode (tournament style) that is easily the most fun of them all; expanded options in character customization; and, of course, the return of the Tekken Bowling minigame that can easily occupy you for several hours alone, it's so much fun.

Since Tekken is designed for short-burst gameplay, it's a perfect fit for the PSP. Now all you need is a friend to battle ad-hoc or, as was wisely included, via game sharing. With that provided, you really don't need a PS2 Tekken anymore....
