The Tekken series is widely known for having easy, pick up and play gameplay, along with a great cast of crazy characters. And so in that regard it will comec as no supprise that Tekken 6 on the PSP is no different in that area from it's predecessors. While this doesn't bother me, the game has some minor flaws that prevent it, for me that is, from reaching fighting game greatness that another fighting game does in my opinion.
While the gameplay in Tekken 6 PSP is very open and easy for newcommers to get a grasp of, it's that same gameplay that makes Tekken 6 somewhat hard to master. Because each character plays vastly different with there move sets.
While theres no doubt that Tekken fans will get right into there favourite character right away with Tekken 6's large roaster of 40 characters.
The Sound design of the game is good, with decent enough voice acting for a fighting game. And with some characters speaking in japanese and others in english, it makes the game feel more natual with it's spoken dialog. The stage music is also fun to listen to, however the english voice's are not subtittled, and when alot of the characters speak quiet like Zafina, it's often hard to hear what they say atter or before a match.
Tekken 6 on the PSP while it's fun and it contains plenty of modes to play with, the core gameplay and concept of juggles removes alot of the easy going fun i get with other fighting games. But if you're a Tekken fan or looking to extend you're PSP libary of games, then Tekken 6 is well worth the time.

Overly exaggerated combos can be a turn off to an otherwise great game.

Tekken 6 for the PSP is a solid, but stripped down version of the fighting game.
