With more colour than your 1st crayola scrap book & more detail than a ufo conspriracy file u wont want 2 miss this.
Firstly i must say namco have never let me down, the previous tekken series of games were great and innovtivie with a different fighting style containing well different fighting styles!! Having a 1080p tv is crucial here as the presentation is better looking than lady gaga stripped down to her undies!!. This game was specifiaclly made to throw colour at you, man even the panda has vibrant orange feet !! Subtle changes in light behind you such as the water jet stage where the water doesnt just change colour it simply radiates at you. Every character or level has the now seen "HD" over the top colour in one or many aspect. Simply put the next true BLU RAY game is here. I must admit i nearly took this back, but i gave it time (as any good gamer would) and i was glad i did simply if not just to have it running in the front room as a feature !.
The attention to the character detail is rich and so well drawn, the namco boys have really put some care into creating lifelike, fluid and just stunning looking next gen characters. Its now like playing a highly visual manga movie!! To be honest most tekken games within a few years of each other didnt have enough diversity from the previous one to warrent a hefty 40 quid price tag, though still enjoyable. If you've never played tekken before (your dead or been asleep longer than snow white !!), what im trying to say is, there is enough of a change to credit the price but tekken 6 still holds the certain style and volume of excitment only your resident "amature comedy kids clown" living in the house next door could rival !! Its beautiful to look at, the frame rate is flawless and intrestingly characters move at different rates with varied styles of play, its quick when you want it to be, yet you can counter or sit and wait to pick off your opponants mistakes its just a joy to play.
The visuals are not the only attribute you ll notice, the music is very atmospheric setting the moods of each level nicely, the final level where you fight the final demon known as azazel (demonic) the "church" choir music is perfect in a "end of days" sort of way !! you know what i mean !!
With only minor faults, one being the load times are awful, i highly reccomend a download it to your hdd (most fighters come with this for maximum playability with your pals) !! The streets of rage style scrolling fighter is a nice touch and you can earn some serious gamer points, to upgrade you characters in every way, from face to foot!! i wouldnt expect to much variety with this mode i think they could have done better here !!
Hundreds of characters, colour not even the Joker could handle, super smooth and detailed in every way, simply stunning and just simply awesome to play. Ive played this on many platforms spanning many years from ps1, 2 psp and i havent played a better fighter to date. An absolute must for your collection, its priced quite reasonably too, i missed tekken!!
