Great price, But a very Tired Genre?

Tekken.. What can I say I\'ved bought and played every version since being wowed with the original on my PS1. So now I download the latest from PSN and play online play and all for less then 10 quid.. Amazing , Fantasic.. But the downside is that this is a very tired genre.. Its got prettier, faster graphics etc. but its just not what it used to be. Perhaps I'm just Jaded from playing oblivion or ratchet and clank which are mind blowing next-gen games.

Tekken by comparison just seems just the same old thing.. Would it be too much to ask for a story mode. Or maybe 3d movement over a larger area. Maybe with interactive objects or animals etc. Range of weapons. Pretty much 2d characters hitting each other is so well plain..

Still the price is right and I even for such a tired genre its still at least a few hours of fun with the lads..

So ultimately I'm torn.. Its a tired game genre, its been done to death.. But yet the price means that its a classic game for your PS3 without breaking the bank.

So I think this is a thumbs up. (probably)
