Get ready for the 4th iron fist tournament

User Rating: 8.2 | Tekken 4 PS2
This is Namco’s answer to the popular tekken tag but they decided to make a proper sequel to the very popular tekken 3 and then tekken 4 was born. Plus teken 4 was released on the PS2 meaning tekken 4 would have a graphical advantage over the PS1 version of tekken 3.

Plus Namco renewed tekken force mode which is like final fight in 3d this is a fun mode to play when you are board and vs mode but sadly no tekken ball mode…. Ohh well I can live without it After Tekken Tag Tournament, Namco decided to return to the true "Story" of Tekken, and hence released Tekken 4... The gameplay now involves "realistic" 3D environments with all sorts of walls and obstacles, unlike the previous "free roaming" stages of previous versions. First-class players enjoyed this new aspect of gameplay, Among the fresh characters and fighting styles comes Steve Fox, a boxer, whom adds a well needed touch to the series I mean a boxer what would a fighting game be like without one. Marduk takes the place of Jack, as the "Biggie," but with a completely different move set lets just say he is the bill Goldberg of the series... Christie is like the female version of Eddy Gordo (only a few new moves) and different personality. However, most fans would have respected a few MORE new characters but the tekken roster will lead to you to a reasonable 21. Even bearing in mind that Jin Kazama has a completely new move set, there are only 3 new characters (movesets) in this game... Namco could have done more, but us fans took it and enjoyed it. I mean it would be a bit of a pain if all of your favorite characters had different move sets. But I don’t mind the change My main complaints is the appearance... The characters in Tekken 4 still don't really "talk" that much. It’s like Namco pulled out the speaking ability or they don’t know how to speak English. I mean they hardly say anything like in fighting games when a character takes damage they would flich a noise or something but in tekken 4 hardly any noises can be heard from the character. And while they've never really been "the chatty bunch," people have still followed the series but I don’t really mind. However, if Namco wishes to develop the series, the Tekken characters are going to need to learn how to speak... And some personalized intros might not hurt either. (only the videos will comfort you with people actually speaking wait nooo, no one hardly speaks either ahh I can’t take it) . Tekken 3's intro and endings blow Tekken 4's our of the water. Actually, Tekken 4's endings were really bad for the most part, except for a few, like Kuma's or Xaioyu… HEHE Pure entertainment Craig's wasn't bad either.

My Comment
Tekken is great in a lot of ways all the old school characters are still here and improved graphics make this game a great game I would suggest buying this game to add to you collection if you’re a fighting game fan
