Something every PSX-owner should have in their collection!

User Rating: 10 | Tekken 3 (PlayStation the Best) PS
The late 90's was the golden age for PSX-gamers with classics like Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Driver and the best fighting game ever to be featured on the 32-bit machine. Behold, I give you: Tekken 3.

Now this is what you call a fighting game! Even though it was released 10 years ago, it's still fun to play even to this day and age. With modes that where in there previous games like Arcade mode and Team battle mode, you can't possibly lose. You can pick from lots of different characters with new ones like Eddy Gordo, Bryan Fury and Ling Xiaoyu. When it comes to actual fighting, the fighting system is very well made. It's not very fast, but it's not very slow either. It's just right. The best thing about the fighting is that it's easy to pick up and play, but tough to fully master, especially since you have over twenty characters to choose from, and every one of them has they're own special attacks. Your progress from being a newbie starting off with just mashing buttons to a skilled person who can pull of a series of combos or special attacks makes you feel like you're going through what Rocky Balboa did. And that's just great!

The music in the game is also one of the greatest things about this game. The tunes are exiting to listen to and as I mentioned i my Goldeneye 007 review, if you grew up playing this game, the music has a strong nostalgia value for you.

Namco also added a two new modes in Tekken 3, Tekken Ball and Tekken Force Mode. In Tekken Ball Mode, you're trying to beat down your opponent by kicking a ball into him/her. You unlock this game by unlocking the every character in Arcade mode, and you're first fight will be against a small dinosaur named Gon, and if you win you'll unlock him as a playable character. Tekken Force Mode is a side scrolling beat 'em up, kind of like Double Dragon or Streets of Rage. In this mode you can, if you beat this mode four times, unlock another playable character: Dr Bosknovitch. If not, you could at least have fun trying.

The experience you get by playing Tekken 3 is too hard to describe. In order to fully understand this greatness you just simply got to buy it. Even if the prize is high, that money can't possibly have gone to waste!
