truly overrated, the sequels certainly got it right though

the only reason this game was successful was because it was TMNT released at the height of its popularity, in the late 80's. that might not seem too big a deal to kids today, but back then it was such a cultural phenomenon the idea of a ninja turtles game was the second coming. too bad it didn't turn out that way. don't let nostalgia obstruct the truth, this game isn't good. this game was insanely hard for any child that it was supposedly intended for, and it's just bland compared to so many other classic NES games. seriously, stick with the sequels, great games that most anyone can enjoy.
