Good TV show based game.

Okay, change of plans about the Tekken 3 review. I've been a little occupied with Teen Titans for the Nintendo Gamecube. Teen Titans is a one of the only Cartoon Network shows I watch and it's worth checking out if you like animated action, but with no blood and high violance. Now on to the game.

The story in Teen Titans the video game is the Titans get a mysterious game about them and they're enimies. The Titans don't know who made it or where it really came from. When Beastboy dies in the game with fellow Titan Cyborg they try to turn the game off and some weird things happen.

As the story goes on you'll encounter more and more enemies that have somehow escaped from prison along with their minions, weapons, and special attacks. Five playable characters in story mode are Starfire, Robin, Raven, Beastboy, and Cyborg.

The graphics in Teen Titans are how do I put it......a cartoony 3D look. Emotions above your life bar change when being damaged, near defeat, super attack, charge attack, and combo attack are executed. Each character (if you've seen the show or artwork of the characters) look like a real 3D version of themselves. Being this game came out this year I expected more.

Teen Titans sound is based around the music, battle noises, character voicework of the show (i'm implying if you play this game and the show you can compare alot of the two). The theme of the music is around Puffy AmiYumi's song "Teen Titans". The song is also done without vocals and added instruments from the original song, it is also done buy the infamous Larry The Titan in the opening (not always) and in the Master of Games stage Larry's world. Larry is this litty character inspired by Robin (Teen Titans leader) and he lives inside Robin. Robin appeared (show) when Robin broke his arm and needed "help" by Larry's magic finger, later broken and changed the Titans in Larry's world. Larry in Teen Titans the game is a collectible item that unlocks mostly art in the gallery. Each character's voice is done by the voice actors of the show. The voicework is actually good and is done well unlike other games like Mortal Kombat Deception's Konquest mode.

The gameplay is pretty much A is the fast attack, B is jump, Y is strong attack, X is special/throwing attack. You can combine these to make combos and hold down Y, X, or A to do "charge attacks". As you play on through the game you get more skills and upgrades to the combos or attacks recieved earlier. R is to block and L is to pick up throwing objects such as benches, poles, and other enemies. When playing two player story mode START is to hop in and at anytime you can press Z to jump out. D-Pad are to change through the five Titans.

The multi-player arena brawl mode known as Master of Games from the episode "Master of Games". Basically it's a deathmatch with Teen Titans heroes and villans. One player is a You vs COM. Multi-player is you vs your friend or other person playing. It's only 1 vs 1 if you don't have anybody else to play with. Playing through the game you get stages, characters, and alternate costumes characters for the Master of Games mode.

Length of game is 14 stages +2 mini game stages. I beat this game in about 8 or 11 hrs (never really thought about it).

Overall, Teen Titans gets a 8.4 outta me. If your a fan of the show or a fan of action adventure games I would reccomend atleast RENTING this game.
