Good show, so-so game.

I like the Teen Titans animated series, and I had high expectations for this video game, it's a 2D beat-em-up with the 5 main Titans from the show as you progress from stage to stage, taking down bosses. Sounds good? Well, is it? No, not really. First of all, the fighting is very lame repetitive and just so dull. Every character has one set of combos, and a few special moves. Enemies can take a punch, in fact they can take several. After the first levels, and the levels sure are long, they can take something like 20+ minutes to complete, well, at least it's not the 1 hour long level from Sonic Unleashed. But still, they last way too long, the level design is pretty bad, not as confusing and disastrous as in the sequel game, but it's pretty inconsistent, you just walk right, then left, then go up, then down then left, right, up, right, down, left, up, it's a maze sometimes.

The bosses are the best part of the game, you fight Gizmo, Mammoth, Brother Blood and my favorite, Jinx. The characters all look great and their special moves are neat. The game is way, way too easy, I don't think the developers are able to create a perfect level of challenge, this is too easy, the second is way too hard. I think this game, with flaws and everything is the best of the two, and it is fun for a while, and the characters are all available from the start, Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy and the sexy duo of Starfire and Raven. For fans it's worth a check and it's enjoyable in small doses, but it's far from perfect.
