Tecmo Super Bowl for the SNES is basically the same game as the NES version, but with a few significant upgrades. You pick a team out of a 28 team league (the NFL at the time) and work your way to the Super Bowl. Gameplay: 8/10 The game play is a lot of fun as you pick plays and run around with your dumpy looking players. A major improvement in the game is that the computer is tougher than the NES version. There is actually a challenge to the game now. But still, for maximum enjoyment it is recommended to play with a bad team rather than play with a team like the 49ers. Graphics: 7/10 The view is a side to side view of the game. The graphics are decent, and pretty good for when the game was originally released. Overall the graphics are similar to the NES, but with more detail and more color. Sound: 7/10 The sounds are kinda funny but good. There is different music for when you play against different teams and the sound effects are not bad. Not spectacular, though. Reviewer's Tilt: 8/10 I am a big fan of the Tecmo Bowl games. It is an exciting game with fast game play and a high level of replay-ability. I keep this game on hand for when I am bored with modern games. Plus as a big 49ers fan, I like to remember the glory days.
