I've seen someone running around with them on in-game. There was no rainbow. Scout didn't cry.
  • Feb 23, 2013 1:26 pm GMT
    Nope, no rainbow effect.
However, there are many folks on SPUF who've been asking Valve to add the effect when Targe Charging or under the effects of Bonk, and Gaijin Games says that if the game sells enough copies then they're going to pester Valve to add an additional item based on Captain Video's cape that will include a Rainbow effect.

You know, you guys set yourselves up, right?
Seriously, the folks you think are Bronies are just trolls that are targeting intolerant folks such as yourself.

Case in point, I'm not a Brony and know nothing about the show, but have decided to name my Buck Turner All-Stars "Rainbow Dashers" just to cheese off players I've dominated that much more.

Erm... I'm confused, how did either of us "win" anything?
Seriously, we weren't arguing, he made a comment about Bronies and I just pointed out the obvious. What's there to win?

Why? I'm only having fun at the expense of folks who seriously need to lighten up.
Honestly, what is it about one little kid's show that sparks so much controversy and generates so much annoyance?

So it's a kid's show aimed at prepubescent girls and some guys like to watch it, so what? If it's entertaining to people beyond it's own target demographic, then that speaks volumes about the quality of the writing and the talent of the creative minds behind the show.
Like I said, I don't really know much about the show, but I've seen a few clips from it here and there on the internet, and it seems like an amusing show with a likeable cast of characters, so I'm not the least bit shocked that people outside of it's target demographic enjoy the show.

I'm 26, but I still enjoy a good cartoon every once in awhile, and honestly, who doesn't besides insecure teenage boys who've not yet obtained a stable sense of masculinity? Cartoons are fun and remind us of a simpler time in our lives, they bring back fond memories, make us laugh, and provide us with something to watch alongside our children.
I for one really like Adventure Time, although I seldom have the time to watch it.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -C.S. Lewis

He made a joke post and you went out of your way to write a small essay and, while valid, was completely unnecessary.
Hyren is a well known troll, and this is a to-the-book example of him successfully rustling your jimmies.

But that's the thing, he actually didn't... I'm a writer, so typing up something like that is nothing to me. (Seriously, check my posts, I tend to do it several times a day.) Furthermore, I wasn't angry. If I were angry, then I wouldn't have been able to type that, I'd have just thrown my hands up and walked away. All he succeeded in was convincing me that he was your typical ignoramus with an irrational hatred for a children's cartoon show and its fanbase.
