didn't know there was a difference between pogoing and that. three kinds of useful trickjumps then: pogoing, speedshots, and walljumps. syncing and wallpogos are never useful tho.

This and all 3 are pretty easy to do with about an hour of practice. The only jumps that are actually any hard are the ones that have no viable use in an actual match anyways.

idk about an hour of practice lol. i'm still pretty terrible at pogoing and speedshots tbqh. need to spend some time on a jump map or somethin

Try watching video on them where they commentate on it. Speedshots you have to overcompensate your shot forward but when watching the video it looks like they shoot underneath or behind them sometimes.

speed whatever and pogoing are just for showing off in pubs. you'll never use them in an actual match.

im going to re invent the pyro metagame.

Lets get to the core of the argument.
Heavy is easier to play than Pyro.

While Pyro is certainly not the hardest class to play (I'd say that's further into the Soldier, Demo, Spy area. Not 100% sure), it is more difficult than Heavy. Ye, airblasting is not that difficult. No, flairshots are not hard. But in the end, it's still more mechanics that you need to LEARN, rather than Heavy who ca be figured out within a few minutes of using the right loadout.

In addition, I' like to add that I believe that all tf2 classes are not that difficult to learn, become competent, and half are not hard to master. I'd say that tf2 in general is fairly easy to learn and enjoy, while maintaining a skillful atmosphere that we all know, love, and argue about.

Wallpogos are useful to get to some silly hiding spots as roamer

good luck actually getting to these places with more that 10 health if you're playing in etf2l without gunboats though

How many alternate accounts does Some_Hoar have? From the look of things, it's something like 6.

Pyro braindead? Maybe if you use the phlog and you have so many broken buttons that its impossible for you to switch to your secondary or melee. If we're talking skill cap not only is heavy easier, but engineer and medic.

^Yea flamethrowers are pretty braindead even compared airburst stickies. Other classes actually have penalties to missing (or just the ability to for that matter >_> Range is the reason why heavy wins this poll for me.

Pyro also has the benefit of being fun past that braindead stage (reflects, secondaries, zoning), I've only ever found heavy to be genuinely fun to play/have in the game when im using one of the shotguns.

How about starting page 2 with a subject incredible unrelated to the original one?
Between these two, which weapon is more Overpowered: the Red-Tape Recorder or the Wrangler?

    I was a little worried

but 31-225 is enough to reassure me that most of you have played this game for more than 10 minutes

or have the common sense to know that pressing two buttons takes more skill than one

I object to the Pyro being called a brain-dead class. Pyros (or at least GOOD Pyros) are not simply W+M1-ing people until they die. Good pyros reflect, put out teammates, flank, Puff n Sting, spycheck, and various other things that make them a class that takes some skill to play completely right.

    Agreed.
I do all these things except puff and sting.
