Did they buff the Dead Ringer or something?

Lately I don't hear Dead Ringer uncloak sounds. I know they're Dead Ringers because I see them appear again a few seconds after I "kill" them. Still close by too. They're not wearing Saharan sets either but that probably wouldn't make that much of a difference.
Maybe I'm going crazy...

I wear a headset and I hear them fine (or used to) on 75% in game volume with 100% master control volume.

Try re-validate files. Your game may be missing the sound file for the DR decloaking. Just a suggestion.

Well, for me, since I don't have my headset with me at present (busted. sad, really.), decloaks often get covered up by all the ambient noise around me, as well as all the gunshots and explosions that honestly carry way too far across maps to make sense.

The Saharan set makes a huge difference,
And either turn up your volume or blame the server if it possibly has custom decloak sounds

The Saharan bonus actually removes your decloak sound entirely, even for the Dead Ringer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaeCyNiYSNE&t=21sIt just makes a less loud IW decloak noise for the Saharan Spy himself, presumably because having no sound at all could be a bit confusing as to if you're properly decloaking. But because of that, everyone thinks that it just turns the volume down, rather than making it 100% silent.
That, and the fact that the game clearly says that it reduces the volume when you look at the stats. What the ****.
