The Bottom Line:
"Just plain fun"
This game is fine blend of what Capcom can really put out if they placed true effort into making games for the Wii. Fast-paced, energetic battles is what the VS. series is about and TvC does not disappoint.

At first I was unsure of how these new characters would play. As someone who isn't too familiar with the Tatsunoko brand (a Japanese animation group), it was a little bewildering. Capcom's line-up was familiar. Don't let the new faces turn you off, they actually the finest and freshest addition to the Vs. series. Fans of the Vs. series will immediately feel at home with Capcom's staple players like Ryu, Chun-li, MegaMan Volnutt, along with some new faces.

Control: The first thing you may notice about this game is the fine controls and how responsive they are. Inputting combos is a breeze and can be done by even the most novice of players. It should be noted that the combos in the game aren't too complicated either, making this game a fine starting point for someone getting into the Vs. series.

Sound: I believe is the best non-combat feature of this title. Though I'd prefer a bigger variety in music type, the quick tempo of the some of the stage music can get you pumped for difficult matches (like those against over sized fighters like Gold Lightan). Sound effects like punches and energy attacks are spot on accurate and crisp and clear.

Graphics: Sporting some impressive colors and backgrounds, TvC is to date, one of the best looking games on the Wii! There's no clashing of hues and a majority of the time, the characters standout from the backgrounds. I do like the fact that the background is also animated in most stages and has some qualities to it. Character models are all designed to cool, sleak and authentic design.

Gameplay: Solid combat and few balancing issues. I was glad to see that there is a online feature where you can fight other players. Sadly, I didn't get to fight anyone, so my input for the online feature is limited. There is a player ranking and you can find random matches or add a player to list to battle them in the future! This is feature that I wished was implemented on more Wii titles.

Bonuses: Character bios and promotional art is what I've done so far, this can be unlocked using in-game currency.

Overall, it's a great game and worthy purchase to have sitting in your Wii library, especially if you've got fighting game friends!

  1. Gamer Night #14 (April 30, 2010) - It was match two of the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom tournament, Da_Gamer(Me)/Ryu & Zero vs. Spirit_Gamer/Viewtiful Joe & Mega Man. So, Spirit_Gamer tried using a V-Bomb on me but it backfired thanks to me.

  2. A re-upload of my Tatsunoko vs. Capcom wallpaper... I realized V2 had unsightly spots at the top, so I removed them.
