I played this game for the Xbox360 and thought it was one amazing game, probably one of the best games ever! In my opinion it is even better on the PS3. The extra content is awesome and makes up for all the things i wished the 360 version had. Like Flynn as playable character. While the story might be the games weakest point i still find it really good and well written, with a few good plot twists and awesome bad guys. The combat is beyond epic in my opinion. It has a huge variety of artes(combo skills) you can use and a huge number of skills(mostly passive battle effects but also some active ones, like recover) you can equip. In addition the battle has what is called Burst artes and Mystic artes on top of it all witch makes it all the more awesome! The soundtrack is very well made and usually fits good with the mood and settings of the different places you will encounter on your journey. The battle music especially is fantastic!
The characters are well made and usually have some personal growth over the story, there is also a lot of comedy between different group members as you progress trough the story. Usually presented in skits, witch is another really nice addition to this games. Skits are short(some long) but awesome conversations between some or all the party members presented as "talking heads(usually)" with voice over.
If you don't own a PS3 you should definitely get the Xbox360 version!
