The worst of the Tales series to make it to the US.

Tales of Legendia is a bit of a disappointment after Symphonia. The presentation isn't very impressive as visuals get the job done but they don't look that great either. The music is pretty good but some of the voice work is annoying. The gameplay I thought took a huge step back after Symphonia. Here we have frequent random battles that can get very annoying. And the battles have gone back to 2D and I didn't think the battles seemed as fun as past 2D Tales games in the series. It may have been that I didn't expect it but the battle system wasn't very fun to me. Although a lot of it was that the battles were just to frequent on top of them being repetitive. It wasn't so bad that I stopped playing but the battles could have been so much better. I actually thought the story was decent and I liked the characters. There is a lot to do in the game since after you finish the game there is more to do and you get to learn more about the characters. Tales of Legendia is decent due to it's story and fun characters but the gameplay itself was pretty weak. I still enjoyed myself with it a bit but it wasn't as good as I expected.
