The best platformer game seen in a while. Plus, it's free!

User Rating: 9.5 | TAGAP: The Apocalyptic Game About Penguins PC
After Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, I didn't see much fun in the PC platformer genre. I found this game in a DVD off a mag and haven't looked back since. TAGAP is the most fun game seen in a long time.

Here are some of it's pros and cons.

+ Action - This game has a lot of action, and by that I mean a LOT. From blasting huge bosses to shooting down helicopters and penguins, it's all good fun. Blasting plasma turreted choppers and endlessly penguins spawning terminals is common.

+ Graphics - While not revolutionary in the extreme, it is extremely playable on old machines (it ran at 60+ fps on my old Pentium 4 , GeForce 6200 computer) while not looking bad. Commendable for freeware.

+ Funky - With loads of weird achievements and stuff, it really is funky.

+ Long - TAGAP has a lot of levels and is almost as long as many mainstream games. Now that's something which you don't see much in free games.

- Hard - Even on Easy difficulty, TAGAP is hard. You have to practice a lot to get used to common enemies with dangerous guns. With checkpoints placed few and far between, the difficulty level is something to have to take care of.

Verdict -- If you are even remotely interested in the platform genre, download this game.
