Story (10/10)
The story is kind of slow to begin, but what begins as a trip to quell a conflict between Rananculus and Anser slowly unravels to become much more. You control Alphonse Loher, a knight of the Order of the Sacred Flame, or something along those lines.

Gameplay (9/10)
Although it is slow, the turn-based strategy stays exciting. There are a lot of weapons and spells in your arsenal, along with character classes and various beasts, such as fairies, hawkmen, griffins and dragons. There are a lot of helpful items as well, and a lot of levels to play on.

A unique feature is the Training Mode, which, if you are willing to spend a lot of time on, allows you to 'cheat' a bit by gaining a lot of experience.

Graphics (9/10)
Great graphics for the GBA's capabilities. There are no flashy cut scenes, but that is not expected. There is a small amount of lag when complex spells are used.

Durability (10/10)
One simple choice after the ninth battles makes all the difference in this game. Choosing 'There is a better way' takes you one way, and 'You're right' takes you in the completely opposite direction. It took me around 60 hours to play through one storyline and a quarter of the way through the other. This game lasts a long, long time.

Overall Score (9.3/10)

Final Thoughts:
One of the greatest games I have ever played.
