Syphon Filter 2: Ditto.
The sequal to 989's Syphon Filter(1999) is better than the first in many ways; 1: In the first game, there was only a single player game, now, a two player deathmatch mode is introduced. You can play as many of the games' characters, and even some from the first game; 2: In the first game, Gabe could only run, now he can walk; 3: Gabe was the only playable character in the first game, now, in some levels, you can play as his parner, Lian Xing.
Syphon Filter 2's story begins right where the first games left off, Gabe Logan, Lian Xing, and many members of the military's elite CBDC battle Washington DC-based agency called-well the Agency(anticlimactic). Along the way, Gabe and Lian must utilze various weapons such as a knife, a 9mm handgun, an M16 rifle, an HK5 submachinegun, a taser, and an automatic shotgun.
The cinimatics in Syphon Filter 2 rock, they tell the story greatly. My only problem with the cinimatics is, well, they could have been better, back in 2000 they had the ability to make peoples mouths move on video games, hell, in 1996 they could do that, Syphon Filter 2 has only a few drawbacks, it has 2 discs, but is still two short. All the new gameplay doesn't help that well.
