Crashes While Loading Level 1

So after the intro and after it shows the loading screen for the first level, it is at this screen where I see like a pulsating orange sphere at bottom of screen and "bubbles" flicker on the screen....

But it just stays like that forever until I cntl alt delete. Anyway around this!?!? Pretty disappointing to get the game in the mail and just get stuck there each time.
