Addictive, fun and has a high replay value.
The gameplay is quite simple, making it easy to pick up and play, but it's also extremely fun. In battle, you are on one side of a 2D map, while your opponent is on the other. You send out troops from your base, and near your base are gold mines, which special troops extract gold from. You start off by purchasing miners and waiting until you have enough gold to buy certain upgrades, which include soldiers, special conditions, and magic. You then purchase your upgrades, and begin using them. You can send out many different soldiers, and use many different spells. Soldiers act on their own, but spells can be used by pointing and clicking with the Wii remote. That's basically how a battle works. It sounds simple, but it can get very hectic and crazy. At times you have to carefully consider which soldiers should be sent out, and which spells to use and when to use them. And, to make things interesting, certain conditions and cenarios may be present during battle. These vary depending on the campaign you are playing. Overall, the gameplay works very well, and battles are extremely fun.
I feel like the campaign offer enough replay value, but the game does not end there. You can also partake in skirmishes, multiplayer battles, and special scenarios outside of regular campaigns for even more fun. This game is a must buy for any type of gamer, and it's a steal at 1000 Wii points. I would love to see more WiiWare games like this.
