During the month of December 3rd of 2003 a Mana title was born on the Game boy Advance system. It was called: Sword Of Mana! Sword Of Mana is actually a remake of an age old classic Game boy game called Final Fantasy Adventure! The people at Square Enix decided to give it a makeover! Well, here goes the storyline!

Legends tell of an ancient tree, the source of all life... the Mana Tree. Its power flows from the goddess Mana and bears her name. Long ago, in a time of darkness, a mighty warlord (Vandole) tapped Mana's power to dominate the world! To protect Mana from evil, a women transformed herself into the Mana Tree and bound its power within herself! But now, an evil empire has appeared and it seeks to exploit the Mana Tree! You now must embark on a quest to find the sacred tree of legend and protect it from the schemes of the dark lord!

One thing that I like about Square Enix is that their storylines are very well prepared! I mean just reading it grips you already! What I thought was unique about this Mana game is that you get to play as ether a boy or girl! And depending which gender you choose to be determines what you're going to go through your quest! Both of characters go through different events! Pretty cool huh? It's like having to versions in one game! The Boy Version (Red) and The Girl Version (Blue)! What I really admire about this game is the dialogue! This game had some pretty damn well thought out and rehearsed dialogue! Well let's start with my review!

Gameplay: If you played Secret Of Mana or any Mana Adventure then you should very well know that this is a hack and slash game! Your goal in this game is to battle your way through hoards of nasty monsters to get from point A to point B! Everything is the same except for the storyline. Press SELECT button to open the inventory and of course your items appears in a floating arrangement! No big surprise! Use the map if you get lost in your journey!

Graphics: Very well polished and remade! I liked the fact that everybody has there own mug shot in the text window! Where's my mug shot?????? This game is so colorful and all Mana Adventures are like that! The opening presentation of this game has beautiful cut scenes that almost look like priceless works of art done by Da Vichy (spelled it wrong). What I thought was also beautiful was that Sword Of Mana's version of the Mana Tree was the best and most beautiful version of it I've seen so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Difficulty: At times it was easy but it gradually and gradually got harder! Some of the monsters really pissed me off and bosses I thought were very cool! This game to me seems just right!

Value: I believe this game has very good potential in the value department! It's a rare game too! I went through hell trying to find it I KNOW THAT!!!! Almost EB Games I went to around where I live said: Oh, we don't have it, I never heard of it, and Sword Of What? What's a Mana? ANYWAYS............! I finally got it off the internet! And I think it's worth something!

Tilt: Well overall, I would recommend this game to people who play RPG games like myself and want a good fun hack and slash adventure game! Sword Of Mana is 2-player so if you know anyone else who has it you can grab a link cable and hook up with them for some co-op fun! Unfortunaly, I don't know anybody who has this game around me so if you find someone or a friend who has this game then praise the Mana Goddess! Or you can praise the lord. I don't think Sword Of Mana is a bad game at all. I think Sword Of Mana is a game that should not be ignored or overlooked in the used section of GBA games at Gamestop. Oops! Now you'll find it!
