Promising but ultimately repetitive

The game starts off pretty interesting, Typical heroines on a path of revenge discovering the power of magic etc etc, the first 5 hours were decent, the graphics were beautiful, the gameplay interesting with different elements to learn, But then i realised something.. the game was not going anywhere , i wasn't actually having fun and the story is totally confusing! The grinding like many rpg games is there, typical land/dungeon grinding for hours, most of the enemies are actually quite weak but annoying as the character takes a few seconds to input an attack which can be the difference between life or death if an enemy gets a few shots at you before you can retreat or counter which is usually the case, the annoying thing is though, each enemy has a different weakness to a weapon or mana spirit, flicking through the stash from the start page to find one which will do the most damage is really annoying and completely slows the flow of the gameplay. The story is completely confusing, the story actually started off good but quickly became a mish mash of subplots, this would not be so bad if the game actually tells you why beforehand, leaving you guessing about the relation to the actual main story. The graphics are really good for the gba which fit the theme, mostly the environments, the same can't be said for the enemy designs which are mostly small simple animals which seem to be ultra powerful. I jus't don't like this game, After 12 hours i had only reached a 1/4 of the game and from boredness i had no reason to want to carry on to see how the story unfolds, if you are a big fan of rpgs then i guess you will try this anyway, i also like rpgs but there are better options on the gba which immerse the player and provide a real story, sadly this game is one to avoid if you want a decent plot and fun gameplay.
