SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom User Review
SVC could have been a great game, but it was obviously rushed, leaving much to be desired.

- "Disappointing"
After 2 Capcom/SNK crossovers by the former mentioned company, the latter takes a shot at their own game. Dubbed SVC: Chaos, it features over 30 fighters from both universes. It takes the 4-button style common to SNK games, and your basic super meter. The Maximum Mode that occurs when you fill the super meter is cool, and the Exceed attacks allow for massive comebacks, sometimes cheap comebacks. But one of the crippling flaws in the game system is the lack of a good grappling system, and that leads to lack of grappler characters. Yes, Zangief is not in this game. In fact, there's only 1 grappler character, and that's Hugo from SF III. There are throws and grabs, but they are difficult to attempt and the cons far outweigh what little damage they cause.
The main roster is not very inspired. 11 of the 12 main Capcom warriors are from Street Fighter, and most of the SNK characters are the same old people from King of Fighters and Fatal Fury. The only original characters were those from Samurai Shodown (which seem a little more cheap with weapons), and some from DarkStalkers (No, it's not Morrigan again) and even Mega Man.
With several rather unbalanced boss characters and lackluster graphics, SVC: Chaos does not have the makings of a great fighting game. However, what saves it from immediately being thrown in the trash are the quirky little dialogue that occurs between each character and those original characters who are somewhat unique. If you are just a casual fighting game fan this isn't for you. But if you are a huge Capcom or SNK fanatic this could possibly catch your eye, or at least motivate you to sink a few quarters into an arcade version.

I think this game is the best SNK game so far right now.
