Show's great, the game: Not so much

I'm a huge fan of Survivor, having watched every season of the show since 2001. But, with this game, it suffers from a lot of problems. While it has some parts that are entertaining, one of the main parts of the game makes it VERY boring.

This game is pretty much an interactive version of Survivor. You can decide to play as either the Borneo castaways or the Australian Outback castaways in the Outback setting. According to the first screen, you can also play the game in the Africa setting, but you would have to wait until Survivor Ultimate. If you don't want to be any of the real castaways, you can make your own castaway and decide his real-life job and his strengths in the field. The game then goes like the show, as you compete in Reward and Immunity Challenges, spend time in camp, and go to Tribal Council to vote someone out, hoping that you're not getting voted out. Before Tribal Council or the start of a Survival Period, you can decide who you align with in the game. You can be absolute friends with someone or just go around hating everyone, having no real alliances.

While this game succeeds with the challenges and tribal council, it suffers from one major part of the game: the Survival Period at camp. You can't decide where to go, you just watch your castaway either A.) do the job you have for that period or B.) do nothing and just hang out. All you do is just either talk to your fellow tribemates or just wait for that VERY long time limit to end. This is where the game goes to fault and this should bore you until you can't take it no more.

It's sad that this game wasn't that good. I am a huge fan of the show, so when I heard of this game, I was excited. When I first played it, I accepted it. But, today, I realize that it isn't what fans of the show wanted to see. This would've been a great game for a home console like the Nintendo 64 or the Playstation. But, they put it on computers. In my opinion, the superb Survivor game would be on a home console like the Xbox or Playstation, and offer great gameplay allowing the player to play through all 20 seasons of Survivor. Online capabilities would update the game by adding new characters and settings each time a new season premieres.

Positives:
*Pretty good representation of the show in general
*Good adaptations of Tribal Council and the Challenges
*Challenges work out pretty well, and can also provide some difficulty

Negatives:
*Survival Periods are extremely boring
*Game would be probably better on a home console
*Doesn't represent all seasons of the show at that point (no Africa and Borneo)
