1 Like 8.0 and you're saying it's intentionally bad because it's designed to be humourous... Things really have changed since I was a reviewer. If I'd reviewed this it would probably have gotten a minus score,
@peteuplink it's not "bad" on purpose, it is intentionally challenging in unique ways. The challenge lies not in performing the surgery but in the most rudimentary task of picking up an object. It's not designed bad because the mechanics work exactly as they are supposed to, it just a different way of making a game
@Atomic_Gumshoe Well that's the story the developers and the reviewers want you to believe, but gamers these days are so easily lead that developers and publishers can sell almost anything. You could re-release the Atari 2600 ET and say it's programmed that way because just a different way of making a game, when in actuality the reason it's designed that way is because it's bloody shite!

This really isn't a simulator. It's more like the video game version of "Operation", only it has limp surgeons.
@Snaptrap Yeah. More just for goofy fun. And I think I read somewhere that it's just a small group of developers and they made this in 48 days as a challenge to themselves. Or something like that. Don't take it seriously, it's not meant to be.
I think we need a Standing and Sitting Simulator.

1 Like This game is obviously meant to be disturbingly amusing, so why is it called Surgeon Simulator? It doesn't simulate anything that happens in real life, I hope. o_O
Scores mean nothing, It's not based on the effort put in the game by the developers, at least on Gamespot, IGN, VideoGamer or every other site like these. Or else indie games would never get more than 2. And Bioshock Infinite got a 9, the developers put a lot of effort into it and it still sucks. This game is just fun. The score means the reviewer liked it, nothing more. And maybe if it were reviewed another day, the score would be different. And sometimes the reviewer get some grease on his hands, you know... But that's not the case here, this game sucks a lot, and it's a lot of fun! The sense of humor is sick and hilarious! Look at the name of the studio: Bossa! Brazilian people will know... =P

@Disturbed_88 Your left hand controls the grip of each finger through the keyboard. That's why they only show the doctor's left hand.

Everyone told him he could no longer be a doctor after the traumatic accident with a bone saw, but he proved them wrong!

Looks like good, dumb fun. They should add some updates though. Like, make the patient wake up as a zombie during the surgery and bite your arm off if you fail, or be able to put cybernetic implants in the patient. I hope some modder gets a hold of it and does a realistic mod with more realistic gore.
lmao the level in space with the flying scalpels. This game looks both genius and hilarious. I love alll the little details you can interact with in your surrounding.
point is.. they were probably aiming for a serious game... but didnt have what it takes... it sucked so bad that it went all the way around an they decided to go for it! FWT! all the way baby, yeah! LOL
1 Like So this is what we've come to. The reviewer thinks this is funny. Sick and ridiculous, is what it is. What next? A giving birth simulator? A heart attack simulator? A "die in terrible pain" simulator? the controls suck anyway.
