And i've read many reviews on this game, including game spots review.
And they all claim that although ambitious, its marred by massive slowdown and glitches and el stupido AI.
I experienced none off the af-ore mentioned problems, though i did install it on my hard drive. And i played the second incarnation of this game before i played the orrigional.
And i admit the graphics in the second one are better....
Thats all i have to say about number 2, cause the original supreme commander is far superior in every way other than the graphics.
sc, is a very in depth longer experience, with more emphasis on "upgrading"
both structures and units, your acu, being one of those units.
First and foremost this game deals in a very large scale, with the closest thing to an individual infantry-man, or pawn? Is/are robot marines or 2 legged chicken like gun snouted canon fodder. In fact im assuming from the game that your acu is the only breathing person, apart from your acu adversary, and that all the rest are robotic automatons?
And if you like small skirmishes, you wont like or beat this game.
It reminds me of a prettier bigger scaled more intelligent Herzog Zweii.
That is to say its alike only in that its a RTS i guess. And that sci fi armies are clashing. On a side note i even preferred the dialog and characters better. And the fact that your avatar is quiet and faceless. You`d swear the two games were made by entirely different studios.
In closing if you like rts games, and enjoy the meticulous building up of structures and playing with an array of war machines designed for all environments. And have grotesque amounts of time to burn, go find a used copy.
