User Rating: 10 | Supreme Commander PC
1. Gameplay - The game is simply put - outstanding. The gameplay allows you to see the entire map, while zooming in to get the most intimate experience akin to an RPG. There are 3 types of units - air, water and land. Each of the units can be produced from a factory. And each of the factories can be upgraded to produce more advanced units. Your personal character is an Armored Command Unit or the ACU. If the ACU is destroyed basically, you are KIA, and the game is over. Similarly, in single player games (other than campaigns), destroying the enemy ACU will win you the war. The ACU has pretty good offensive and defensive capabilities, and an ACU can be fitted on with an array of upgrades. Depending on your tactics, you choose your upgrades. You ACU is also capable of building a base, though it is advisable to build engineers to assist your ACU in building your base. You have three factions - the United Earth Federation or the UEF, the Cybrans - a cyborg race, and the Aeon Illuminate, a race of enlightened religious humans. Each faction has basically the same units, so this is not a rock-paper-scissor game. Your winnings will be solely decided by your tactics. Resources are of two types - Mass Extractors which have to built on Mass Mines, and Energy which can be generated by Generators. An interesting feature is assisting. You can tell a factory to assist another factory, such that the production is shared between the factories. That way you will be able to cut down production time. You can also ask transports to assist units to be transported to their desired location. These features really help in formation of strategies.

2. Plot - The basic plot starts long ago. There existed a race known as the Seraphim, and the humans went out to make contact with the alien race on the planet Seraphim II. Meanwhile, a race of cyborgs, called the symbiont, had been created by a certain Dr. Brackman. The symbiont had unquestionably served the human race, but when they started asking for independence and recognition, the humans implanted them with a loyalty program. But Dr. Brackman fled along with his most loyal followers to the planet Procyon, and formed the Cybran nation. On the other hand, on Seraphim II, the field commander Commander Smith following unspecified protocol, locked down the planet and attacked the Seraphim, killing them in the process. The humans who went to make contact with them however turned over to their side, and came to be known as the Aeon Illuminate, lead by the lead biologist Dr. Jane Burke. They soon overpowered the forces of Smith, and finally established themselves as the Aeon Illuminate. The current game starts with the UEF planning to build a massive super-weapon, known as the Black Sun. It has massive destructive capabilities. The UEF plan on using it to destroy the Cybran planet Procyon. The cybrans plan on using it to launch a virus called the "Liberation Matrix" to disable the loyalty program.
