Best RTS & Epic Scale
First off When I baught the game I installed Sorian Ai which makes the Ai like a human and a right ******making it the best RTS Ai ever so if you buy it get the Sorian AI Mod.
Supreme Commander 1 was a bit of a mess half the screen is taken up my a menu and the screen scrolls at light speed so anyone that tries the demo will be disapointed. Forged Alliance is a stand alone expansion that introduced full screen and transparent menus and lots of options for scrolling speed and so on and more units. When you see the manual for SUp Forged Alliance you will be blown away by the amount of building types the install of this game is around 15 GB which is massive for this type of game let alone any.
The units have physics for flight crashing and shooting its like a real war big huge ship attcks your base shoot it down and boom it crashed into your base causing more damage and the wrecks stay there. The units in the game get silly as the battle moves on you can build small destroyers, fighter planes, tanks to start with but then later you can build giant robot tarantulas that are so huge they have battleship size cannon turrets on the top. The maps I play on are 20 x 20 km in size but you can have 80 x 80km you can have the pop cap set as you want i use 2000 vs 2000 units 2 vs 2 players it's truly epic to see that many units going at it. Sup forged alliance has loads of unit types for each type of warfare Air combat, Naval, land combat also zillions of structures that can lob nukes and artillary shells 20km. You think of a weapon or unit type and they put it in the game. Try the demo but bare in mind its no where near as good as Supreme Commander Forged Alliance with the Sorian AI mod. if your computer is a bit old you can scale the grapics back a huge amount and set a pop cap limit to suit your hardware. You will know why Command & Conquer is soo crap when you try this game. Supreme Commander 2 sounds like its been chopped in half according to the developers so that it will run on consoles so Sup forged Aliance might be more your thing.
