Franchise killer

User Rating: 2 | Supreme Commander 2 PC
Oh, where to begin? From the overly simplistic gameplay, the badly done research thingie, the extra-small maps, the total absence of anything even remotely resembling strategy? Or the ripping off of the entire economic engine which was the heart and soul of the original Supreme Commander? Or the uninspired music, dull sound effects, bored-as-hell voices? The HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE cutscenes, that look like they've been ripped off a 1997 Playstation game? Or the awful graphics, blocky, child's toy-like units, dull scenarios? Or the crappy story mode that looks like a bad quality early afternoon anime?

I'll admit that reducing engineer units to one type does a good work in reducing clutter and micromanagement, and upgrading factories to shielding and weaponry also helps (even if old Earth 2150 did that many years before and in much better ways). But that's pretty minor considering that this... thing... looks like it was out about 5 years BEFORE the first Supreme Commander.

Heck, I got C&C Zero Hour and it LOOKS, SOUNDS and PLAYS much better than SC2.

Luckily, i got this on a Weekend Madness offer on Steam, so i didn't have to pay the full price. Unluckily, i DID spend 16E on this trainwreck.

I will triple-check everything that follows this bad ripoff and sincerely hope GPG throws this away and pretend it never happened.
