Well, I got this game because i thorght it looked kewl. Imagine, you can play as any nation on earth & the AI doesnt know who u are. That & some of the pictures on the back won me over far too easily. I loaded it up & well, its not bad looking (the world map part that is). There are a variety of screens that let you tinker & toggle with most aspects of your nations economics & military. That bit isnt bad, but the rest is so horrible that it cant be redeemed from the bin (Gamestation would only give me 20pence for it, which i refused). The battles, which to be fair may not be the most important part of the game, are so basic it infuriates me. Your units are represented by symbols, fighting on a tactical map of the battlefield which makes war about as interesting as watching static on TV.
A fair number of the options available also dont seem to do anything. For example, you can fund rebels but I never saw anything happen involving them, not even a messege. Since moving sliders & setting numbers can only hold me for so long, this game quickly was uninstalled & now waits its impending destruction at my hand. ARGH it makes me red with rage! Only buy if u plan to join a very beurocratic Civil Service in later life, or rise so high in the military that u dont see soldiers, only armies.
