First Look: Superman

With the bad memories of Titus' N64 debacle fading fast, Infogrames is readying its own video game rendition of Superman.

Originally believed to be in development for the Nintendo GameCube, Infogrames' first Superman title will appear on Sony's PlayStation 2. Not much is known about the game at this point, except that it'll be based on a variety of comic-inspired scenarios and feature all sorts of 3D beat-'em-up action.

It is known, however, that the game will not focus on the storylines of the animated series or the movie series, as it is intended to epitomize the comic book superhero in all his hand-drawn glory. As such, villains such as the longhaired Luthor, Doomsday, Mongul, Eradicator, Obsession, and Metallo are possible inclusions.
