We talk to Street Fighter creator Yoshinori Ono and Nintendo fans at the London midnight launch for the 3DS.
@wiidominance In America's face? Dude, the launch days were only 2 days apart. Besides, Japan had their 3DS systems months ago.
hope it will arrive here in our country soon i have save enough money for the 3ds working over time in our company is not an easy task :)
@ChiefFreeman , I bought the handheld yesterday, with Rayman 3D and Splintercell. I was disapointed that there was barely any good launch games out. I'm not into street fighter, so i grabbed the two games above. Splinter Cell was boring, it's a slow pace game, Rayman is impressive with the 3D right of the bat. The handheld it's self has alot to offer . I didn't own the DSI, or XL, i did have the original DS. The other downside is, that web broswer and Eshop aren't open till the end of May when a update comes out. I rate this handheld a 8.5/10, but i'm playing normal DS games (pokemon black, and Dragon QuesT) as i'm catching up on the Ds games that i've missed due to not having a DS for almost 2 years. Bring on Legend of Zelda, Resident evil, MGS, Mario Kart etc.
I'm still no the fence on whether or not to pick up one of these at Best Buy. I'm a technophile, and always have to get the fancy electronic gadgets and game consoles first. Should I pull the trigger and get it?
I got mine. Loving it...the 3D is awesome (once you settle on a position for the slider). Street Fighter is the must have game but I would say that if you don't have much disposable cash wait for the the wave of games to arrive.
haha the girl interviews the jap dude..he thinks " i got no idea what u talking about" the girls thinks in her head while shes interviewing the jap dude " u got no idea what im talking about..do you?"
american dude says his friends in new york are also in a launch in new york, its just in different time zones!! this is march 25 ...america get it on 27!! haha
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the states are the last country to release the 3DS... :?
i was here! got nintendo dogs for my girls and got myself Ridge Racer..awesome game and the 3D effect makes it intense and the screen is small but the 3D effect gives it so much more depth!! Seriously...3DS is one amazing piece of technology!!
I'm going to wait a bit more and watch these 3d crazy maniacs and then decide whether to buy it or not.
@wiidominance hah damn right.... bout time we got something befor usa!. got mine today and its awesome o.o the 3d works very very well and the build is solid.
am cycling tomorrow to the freakin royal mail depot with my friend to get it !! Its not even mine its his but I had to witness the epic unboxing !!! ^___^ IN YOUR FACE AMERIKA ... HA !
I personally have only ever been to one midnight launch for a game in my life. This was for Halo Reach. HONESTLY while I'm glad I tried this 'experience' because for me it was a revalation of who actually plays games, it wasn't worth it lol I was so tired by the end of it and most people are so on edge in trying to get their copy ASAP that they become so rude! I overheard some hilerious stories though. The amount of people who took extra time of work etc. was crazy. Loads of them were also launch event veterans, having even repeatedly bought limited editions. Bottom line - good to try but really? Can't you wait a little longer... especially if you pre-ordered it.. its not going anywhere lol
There's definitely a way to look at it and a way not to look at it. I find relaxing my eyes a bit and looking just beyond the screen (i.e. as if the screen were about 1cm further away than it actually is) really brings the 3D to life. Good news: I bought two for my two boys (they're not getting them until their birthdays in the next few weeks and in the meantime I get to use them secretly) and so I'm getting £40 worth of vouchers off games. Only got Lego Star Wars ATM, but more to come.
I went to the midnight launch in my home town (Hull). I got there at about 6 o'clock and I was the second person to buy it. I'm completeley loving Super Street Fighter 4 3D and Pilotwings Resort.
I've noticed they were giving out stuff-Nintendo charcters, did they give out Umbrellas too? Spotted a lot of Umbrellas on the video.
Jane Douglas is pretty cool. I wouldn't get up that early for a game system though. As long as it's pre-ordered, I have nothing to worry about :)
