Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition User Review
This is a pretty impressive title, specially for a handheld port.

- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Best in series"
I've been in love with the Street Fighter series since first time I laid my eyes at the arcades when I was a kid, been playing SF since then, so pretty much most of my life. I've played SF2 on my Super Nintendo for countless hours, and then got a good break on the other iterations of the series. I have the PS3 version for this game and just played a few times, and not sure why I bother buying it for the 3DS, well, probably for the fact that it was probably the most interesting of the few launching titles.
All I have to say is that this is pretty much the same game as the console originals, with some minor differences in the presentation, this game is pretty much a straight port. The 3D effect it's impressive and gives great sense of depth to the environments but also drops the frames quite considerably, and makes the game look a little more blocky. Turning it off makes the game very smooth. So the presentation department it's just fantastic, some of the background is missing the animations but it's a small price to pay when you cram all the amount of content into the small cart.
The game fees easier than the console versions since you have all the special moves ready to be performed just by pressing the virtual buttons on the lower screen. This is great to balance the layout of the buttons but it's a little discomfortable to play the game with the circle pad. To make the story short, this is a great title if you have to play SF anywhere, I highly recommend the game, but quite frankly I'm just a little burned our on the series, need to give it a break.

If you've played the original Super Street Fighter IV on consoles, you're not getting anything new with this port.
