The Bottom Line:
"All it's cracked up to be"
This is my first and so far only 3DS game. When you buy a system you obviously want a game to play on it and at this point, for me, street fighter 3DS is the only game worth playing.
I'm glad they ported it to the 3DS because i was always interested in street fighter, but don't have a playsattion 3.
The gameplay is great. You can perfoer special moves easily and pull of combo's using the touch screen. This is great for me, because i don't have the time to learn and master all these moves. You can play single-player, wi-fi against another 3DS or online. I enjoy the single player which has short cutscenes for each of the 35 (!) fighters. I did play some matches online, but i'm not realy into online-gaming. I haven't played wifi yet.
Street Fighter is a game witch is you can enjoy for a couple of matches. You're not likely to play for longer then a half hour so it's very suitable for the 3D effect, because you need to pause every 30 minutes.
When you turn on the effect to the fullest it requires a lot of focus from your eyes. It does look beautifully with the colorful backgrounds and those small little people inside the screen, it's a n amazing technilogical marvel. After some time it becomes harder to focus. Some friends of mine said they have a problem looking at it as it gave them headaches or dizziness. This might have to do with feeling rested or tired. Anyhow, you can at all times diminish or turn off the 3D effect.
When possible i turn it on, because it just great to look at. I downloaded some trailers for upcoming wii-games. The 3D effect also looked great for Mario Kart an Luigi's mansion 2. With Marioland 3D i had some problems focusing because of the many objects all over the screen. Kid Icarus looked great with background objects, but not so much with frontscreen objects.
The 3DS made me fall in love with videogames again and it has many more features.
Street Fighter 3DS is superb. If you can find it at a decent price (i paid 25 euro's) it's a great start of your 3ds-collection!
