The Ultimate Street Fighter 4.
New Characters
We have 10 Newcomers, Ibuiki,Makoto and Dudley from Third Strike, T Hawk and Dee Jay from Super Street Fighter 2, Adon,Guy and cody from the Alpha games and 2 new characters Juri an experiment working for S.I.N and Hakan a Turkish Oil wrestler. The join the entire cast from the first Street Fighter 4 game and some characters have either been downgraded or improved slighlty so its not like they are broken. I mean like Sagat for example he was extremly powerful in the last game.
Modes
Well there's Arcade Mode like the previous game. There's also Vs mode as well where you brawl your mates. There's Training where you practice your moves and characters. There's Trial Mode with character trials but they took out the Time Attack and Survivial. Shame really but the character trials i feel are better because you only have to learn the one combo or move for your character. Also there is the Car and Barrell Busting from the previous Street Fighter 2 games. They don't feel as fun as they use to and there's virtually no point to them without leaderboards for fastest time and most Barrells broken. Then there's Network play.
Network Play has Ranked Matches where you Battle for points and to improve your grade. You have Player Points and Battle Points. Battle Points say how well you have done with each indiviual character and Player Points are your overall tally. Be warned though if you lose one match you can lose up to 70 points if its to someone lower ranked than you but your Battle Points won't suffer to much. So try not to take it seriously. You have Endless Mode. It is basically what it says. It's a winner stays on and the Lobbies hold a Maximum of 8 and you can invite your friends into that room as well if they want to come. You don't recieve or lose points here though. Team Battle is another one. You get to join in a maximum of 4 v 4 and winner stays on so it could be possible you win without playing because someone is so remarkably good. So its not perfect but better than it was shame Championship Mode wasn't brought back. Although it isn't perfect players can still set it to 1 round 30 seconds and they can really be annoying.
There is also a Replay Mode where you can save replays to watch and you can also send replays after some matches too. If you want to not get spoiled don't press the button that says winner or loser it surprises you in a way and you get to see their Rank and Player Points. Also if you check Rankings it will show you who is the best player with which character or who has the most points with that character.
Gameplay
Well the same basic gameplay as the previous installment. Some characters have been tweaked to either be improved or downgraded you will know which ones are soon enough. Each character though has a new Ultra and you have to decide which one you want in the match. i think each character has a short range and a long range attack to even it up.
Graphics
A slight improvement in the graphics. The intro looks alot better with the graphics change but the nice colorful cel shaded graphics really make it look presentable.
Sound
Is Indestructable back. You shall be glad to hear its not a much better tune that goes well with Street Fighter. The announcer is different and I much perfer the old one from the previous game he sounds dull. Also after you have selected your icon and Emblem you can choose wether to hear character soundtracks whilist playing online and i like that I can hear them like that.
Lastability
With online play and plenty of difficult combos to master this shall hopefully last you a long time.
Overall Opinion
It's the Ultimate Steet Fighter 4 at the moment. More characters a much better online service while not perfect its an improvement. Plus with Capcom tweaking a few characters to make it a bit more balanced. There are spammers though and it does suffer a bit of lag from time to time but not much. Although nothing much is wrong with the game its finely balanced,easy to play and good for getting mates to play with. The Ultimate Street Fighter 4 experience
