Street Fighter remade, yet another time? Yes but this is community tribute to the classic.

User Rating: 9 | Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix PS3
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD remix is nothing more than a polish version of the old classic arcade hit. Considering the community got involve, they fix some balance issues from the previous versions. That is not to say the game isn't still true to its original vibe. Sagat is still super powerful, just not as cheap. Blanka may still be a low tier character, but he can now compete better. Just like an antique table filled with dust, it just needs to be taken out and re-polish which is exactly what HD remix is all about. A polish game that deserves to be in everyone's console Hard drive.

It was a smart move to hire GGPO creator considering SFA2 through emulators was running online through his creation. SFA2 online was great, and many in the community notice that lag wasn't that much of an issue. SSFIITurbo HD Remix is no exception. Almost no lag, although there were some weird issues (stage all dark and not being able to see your opponent) 95% the game was running as if you had the person playing beside you.

Its great to know that they included both the HD remix and the original classic version of the game, including the sprites.

What's missing from this game is an event gallery, and some art work display. I would like to have been able to check out the endings of every character I finish the game with, without having to finish the game with them again. I also notice some collision detection problems. A few times a punch or kick would go through an opponent and not hit.

Another note, the pricing for this game is not bad or just right depending on your own personal value of the game. Personally, I find 10$ would have been perfect and no one should complain about it, not that I am complaining about 15$. It is an old game, remade with some changes, none the less its still the same game. Remember that SSFII turbo was release on Live. Also there is a lack of modes, and bonuses.

All in all, this is a must have. I would give it a 8.8 out of 10. Too bad the ratings only go by .5 and not .1
