There is not a story behind Super Stardust HD. You just protect a planet for five rounds and move on to the next. There are five planets in all without Downloadable Content.

Gameplay
The gameplay of Super Stardust HD is very similar to the og Geometry Wars Galaxy. You avoid enemies and meteors to live, and destroy them to gain points. After so many kills you increase your score multiplier. Most meteors have a special green rock in them. When you destroy it, you have a chance to gain many things. You could get a weapon upgrade (Gold Melter, Ice Splitter, or Rock Crusher), a shield, points, or an extra life. It is a really fun and fast-paced game, it just gets pretty old after a while.

Graphics
HD is in the title for a reason. This game looks amazing. All of the explosions and debris flying around you is astounding. To put it simply, Super Stardust HD looks amazing.

Control
The controls in Super Stardust HD are very simple and require almost no learning curve. You move your ship around with the left analog stick, and move your right analog stick in the direction you want to shoot. You can also use R2 for a little boost which is pretty useful if you need to get out of a jam.

Sound
Honestly the sound of Super Stardust HD is pretty bland. It also has a tendency to make your speakers crackle.

Overall
Super Stardust is a great game to play every once in a while. It is a lot of fun, and I recommend it to people who like this kind of game.
