The game that started the video game character fighting craze. Great controls, (for its time) good graphics, a decent soundtrack, and a whole roster of Nintendo characters to wail on each other what can be better? Sure the selection is limited and the graphics could have used a notch or two but who cares when you can have 4 friends over to smack each other around as Luigi or Fox. Not to mention all the items to add to the mayhem such as the infamous hammer or Link's Heart containers. It was easily the best multiplayer experience on the N64 (well except for goldeneye...but that is just me) and worth playing even if you've played the next gen version. Plus it lets you throw pikachu off of a Arwing what other game is going to let you do that? So if you still have an N64 kicking around and you have not picked this game up Do It! Nostalgia never hurt anyone eh?
